Job Description

 

We have a immediate opportunity for a Branch Manager to join the leading distributor of transmission parts to the motor vehicle repair industry.The company founded in 1975, has locations across the United States that serve independent and franchise transmission repair shops, automotive general repair businesses, production rebuilders, and resellers.The Branch Manager will report to the Regional Manager and will have direct sales and P&L accountability for the assigned branch location.In addition to growing top revenue and profit, the Branch Manager is responsible for local warehouse operations, delivery / logistics, inventory management, and safety / security.

Duties

·Achieve branch sales and profitability plan.

·Leading the Branch Sales Representatives to ensure location objectives are met and sales / product goals are achieved.

·Review performance of Sales Representatives against plan and establish / implement improvement action plans.

·ID training needs, initiate appropriate programs, and recommend actions.

·Participate in the establishment and execution of branch sales programs and also support/participate in national marketing / sales initiatives.

·Monitor sales, pricing, and profitability

·Maintain an ongoing, effective relationship with key customers

·Achieve goals for key product lines and develop / implement effective strategies to achieve plans.

·Monitor competitive trends, customer needs and develop the appropriate strategy for changes in sales programs / customer approach.

·Set targets for new customers and lead the team to increase sales growth.

·Implements sales and operations best practices at assigned branch.

·Review branch P&L to ensure cost structure and profit optimization.

·Review location to ensure current facility is optimized with respect to customer service and delivery reach.

·Oversee cash management process between the Branch and the Regional Credit department

·Work with Regional Credit Manager to address local credit/collection issues.

·Participate in annual budgeting process.

·Establish specific sales, operating plans and strategic actions for branch location and sales representatives.

Job Requirements 

Qualifications

  • Degree is a plus but will consider industry experience.
  • Automotive aftermarket experience selling directly to independent repair shops, commercial fleets and jobbers is required.
  • Must have prior sales management and branch operations experience.
  • Track record of successful P&L performance
  • Strategic thinking skills with strong business analytical skill sets.
  • Experience selling to jobbers, fleet operations, independent automotive repair is a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to train and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • Can work in a fast-paced environment while setting priorities
  • Managing a diversity of job responsibilities with effective organizational skills
  • Working within deadlines.
  • Previous experious with companies like PepBoys, Autozone, Advance Auto, NAPA, CARQUEST and similar auto parts companies is highly valued.
